Grow a Garden Pets Basics

Grow a Garden is a Roblox farming game. These three answers cover what pets are, how many the database holds and how it labels rarity.

What do pets do in Grow a Garden?

Pets in Grow a Garden are companions you hatch from eggs and place in your garden, and each one has a passive ability. Outside guides describe abilities such as speeding up plant growth and boosting other pets' XP. The GAGdata database lists an ability for 358 of its 359 pets.

Sources: Pocket Tactics (published November 13, 2025) and DroidGamers (September 2, 2025). For every ability, see the Grow a Garden pet abilities guide.

How many pets are in Grow a Garden?

The GAGdata database holds 359 pets in Grow a Garden, taken from its June 22, 2026 update. That is the database count, not an official game total, and pets added since then may be missing. Common is the largest group with 80 pets, and Prismatic is one of the smallest with four.

Browse the full list in the Grow a Garden pets database.

What pet rarities are there in Grow a Garden?

Grow a Garden pet rarities in the GAGdata database are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Divine, Mythical, Event, Transcendent and Prismatic, listed here by count, not by rank. Three more pets show TBD because their rarity is not confirmed. Pocket Tactics lists six tiers, so sources differ.

How to Get Pets in Grow a Garden

Eggs are the main route. Events, season passes, shops and boss drops cover the rest. These two answers say how the database splits them and why no single pet can be named the rarest.

How do you get pets in Grow a Garden?

You get most pets in Grow a Garden by buying an egg, placing it in your garden and waiting for it to hatch. The GAGdata database lists egg hatching as the source for 318 of 359 pets. The other 41 come from events, season passes, shops or boss drops, or have no confirmed source yet.

Sources: Pocket Tactics and DroidGamers. Egg odds are in the Grow a Garden hatching guide.

What is the rarest pet in Grow a Garden?

No single rarest pet is confirmed in Grow a Garden. The lowest drop chance in the GAGdata drop-rate field is 0.25% for the Disco Bee. Three pets list lower ultra-rare chances in their obtain text, and those figures are PENDING. Rarity labels also differ between sources, so any one name is unverified.

Pets are ranked by tier in the Grow a Garden pet tier list.

Grow a Garden Pet Mutations and Leveling

Pet mutations are not the same as crop mutations. These answers cover the machine, the strongest mutation and how pets gain XP.

What are pet mutations in Grow a Garden?

Pet mutations in Grow a Garden are bonuses a pet gains, mostly extra XP or passive boosts. The Mutation Machine applies a random one. It needs a pet at Level 50 or higher, takes 60 minutes and costs 500,000,000 Sheckles, per the GAGdata database. Some mutations come from another pet's ability instead.

Every mutation is listed in the Grow a Garden pet mutations guide.

Which pet mutation is the strongest in Grow a Garden?

Ember is the strongest pet mutation with a stated number in the GAGdata database, giving a +32% passive boost and a +32% XP boost. Only the Fire Wisp applies it. A success resets the pet to Level 1 and a failure resets it to Level 50. Spotty has no confirmed multiplier yet, so it is not ranked.

How do pets level up in Grow a Garden?

Pets in Grow a Garden level up by gaining XP over time. The GAGdata database stores an XP per hour rate for 334 of 359 pets, and 25 entries show 0, which means PENDING. Pocket Tactics reports that a pet cannot age when its hunger bar reaches 0, so keep your pets fed.

Source for the hunger note: Pocket Tactics. Rates and steps are in the Grow a Garden pet leveling guide.

Grow a Garden Pet Sizes, Values and Dupes

Size tier, trade value and dupe reports each have a guide. These answers give the short version and say which numbers are still PENDING, so you know what to check before a trade.

What do Huge, Titanic and Godly mean for pets?

Huge, Titanic and Godly are the pet size tiers in Grow a Garden. The GAGdata database stores a separate threshold for each tier on every pet, and 22 entries show zero, which means PENDING. The unit of those thresholds, weight or XP, is still being confirmed, so check the pet's own page for the number.

How much is a pet worth in Grow a Garden?

A pet's trade value in Grow a Garden is stored as a minimum and maximum range, and the GAGdata database has a range for all 359 pets. Ranges are estimates and move after updates. The Pet Values page lists them, and five pets also carry an UNSETTLED or STABLE note instead of a firm view.

Ranges are listed on Grow a Garden pet values.

Can pets be duplicated in Grow a Garden?

Duplicated pets exist in Grow a Garden, and the GAGdata dupe database holds 42 community-reported cases, all marked confirmed. The newest entry is dated March 6, 2026. Reports describe a trading disabled message when a duplicated pet is traded. The Pet Dupe Checker compares a pet against those entries and does not explain how to duplicate pets.

Which Game Does This Pets FAQ Cover?

Two games share the name. This page uses the original one.

Does this pets FAQ cover Grow a Garden 2?

This pets FAQ covers the original Grow a Garden only. Grow a Garden 2 launched on June 12, 2026 as a separate Roblox game, and no progress transfers between the two, per the GAGdata events data. The pet data used here is from the June 22, 2026 database, so newer pets may be missing.

For event dates, see the Grow a Garden event calendar.

Pets FAQ Data Status: Confirmed and PENDING

Each count on this page was made by script from the GAGdata data files on October 28, 2026, and the page is checked against those files again before it ships. Outside guides are linked where they are used. Reported means the value is stored in a data file. Estimate means the value is a community range. PENDING means no confirmed value exists yet, so the page prints none.
