🌑 Blood Moon Events (Oct–Dec)
The Blood Moon event in Grow a Garden is a seasonal weather event that runs October through December. It is classified as a weather event — meaning the Blood Moon triggers special mutation types not available during standard gameplay. The event introduces Bone Blossom (an event-exclusive crop with a base value of several thousand sheckles per kilogram), a full set of bone-themed crop variants, the Moonlit and Blood special mutations, and the exclusive Mooncat pet. The Blood Moon event is one of the highest sheckle-earning windows of the year due to the stacking potential of Blood Moon mutations with existing permanent mutations. 🧚 Fairy Events
The Fairy event is a rotating seasonal event in Grow a Garden that introduces fairy-themed plant variants, most notably Fairy Wisteria — one of the most visually distinctive event crops in the game. The Fairy event also includes exclusive Fairy pet variants and the Fairy mutation. Roblox players searching for "fairy event gag" or "grow a garden fairy event plants" will find that Fairy Wisteria holds strong trade value post-event. The event runs for approximately 3 weeks per occurrence and is triggered by the weekly Saturday patch when it enters the rotation.
🌱 Beanstalk Events
The Beanstalk event introduces the Beanstalk seed and a full set of beanstalk plant variants. The "beanstalk event grow a garden" query cluster (260–1,600 monthly searches) is one of the largest individual event clusters in the game. Beanstalk plants deliver strong sheckle returns during the event window, and beanstalk seeds become tradeable collectibles once the event ends. The event is a rotating seasonal event, appearing multiple times per year triggered by Saturday patches.
🍳 Cooking Events
The Cooking event is a limited-time crafting mechanic event — the first major event in Grow a Garden to introduce a crafting loop as its primary gameplay mechanic. Players gather specific cooking-mechanic crops and use the crafting system to produce high-value outputs. The event is classified as limited-time, meaning it is not part of a regular seasonal rotation and may not recur in the same form. Event-exclusive cooking crops carry strong trade value post-event.
🍯 Honey Events
The Honey event introduces the Honey Sprinkler — a gear item that is one of the most-searched items in the game ("grow a garden honey sprinkler" at over 1,600 monthly searches). The Honey Sprinkler provides crop bonuses when equipped during the event and remains valuable post-event as gear. The event also introduces honeysuckle crop variants with competitive sheckle values. The event runs as a rotating seasonal update triggered by Saturday patches.
☯️ Zen Update Events
The Zen Update is one of the most popular named updates in Grow a Garden history — the "zen update grow a garden" query cluster reaches 2,400 monthly searches, making it the highest-search named update. The Zen Update introduced zen fruits, zen plants, zen pets, and the exclusive Zen Egg. Zen plants offer competitive sheckle values and distinctive aesthetics. The Zen Egg, hatchable only during the event window, produces the exclusive Zen Pet — a post-event collectible with strong trading demand.
☀️ Summer Events
The Summer event is a major seasonal event running June through August. It introduces summer-themed crops, the Summer Rare Egg, and the Legendary Summer Egg — both of which produce exclusive high-rarity pet hatches unavailable year-round. Searching "summer event grow a garden rewards" and "summer rare egg" shows strong seasonal search spikes in June. Summer crops hold strong post-event trade values, and the Legendary Summer Egg is one of the most sought-after limited-window pet hatches in the game.
🌿 Other & Recurring Events
Beyond the major named events, Grow a Garden features recurring events including the Venus Flytrap event and the Sunflower event. The Venus Flytrap event introduces exclusive flytrap plant variants — community-favourite collectibles that spike in trade demand after the event window closes. The Sunflower event introduces sunflower crop variants with reliable post-event sheckle premium. Both are recurring seasonal events that return periodically triggered by Saturday patches. As new named updates are released, this calendar is updated with any new events. Check the weekly update hub for new event announcements →
Event Farming Strategy
Events are the single highest-ROI farming windows in Grow a Garden. Event-exclusive crops carry a sheckle premium simply by being unavailable outside the limited window — and that premium is multiplied further by event-specific mutations and event-activated farming bonuses. The key principle: plant event-exclusive crops on every available plot from the first hour of the event. The farming community is most active at event start, which means sheckle prices are at their highest in days one and two. We tested this pattern in-game across multiple event cycles to verify the strategy.
Best Crops to Farm During Events
The best crops to farm during any Grow a Garden event are always the event-exclusive crops introduced by that specific event — they are unavailable any other time, which makes them the primary sheckle driver. For the Blood Moon event, plant Bone Blossom as your primary crop and supplement with bone crop variants for volume. For the Fairy event, Fairy Wisteria delivers the highest individual crop value. For the Beanstalk event, beanstalk plants offer the best volume-to-sheckle ratio.
You can use our crop value calculator to calculate the exact sheckle output of any event crop with your current mutation stack. You can also check the all crops value list for base values on every crop in the game.
Event Mutations & Multiplier Stacking
Some events introduce special mutations that are only available during the active event window. The Blood Moon event triggers the Moonlit mutation and the Blood mutation — both of which can be stacked with permanent mutations like Shocked (100x) or Celestial (120x) for compound multiplier bonuses. Event mutations are classified as limited-time mutations: their source is the weather event itself, meaning they cannot be applied to crops outside the event window.
Event-exclusive mutation bonuses stack with base mutations according to the standard mutation stacking model. To understand how stacking works during events and how to maximise your multiplier, read our mutation stacking guide.
AFK Farming During Limited-Time Events
AFK farming is the highest-efficiency strategy for maximising sheckle output during the 3-week event window. With an optimised AFK setup, you can run event-exclusive crop harvests 24/7 without active management. The key setup: fill all plots with the primary event crop, equip event-bonus pets, and activate any event-specific gear before going AFK. Plant cycles run automatically and accumulate sheckles passively throughout the event countdown.
For the full AFK farming setup including gear recommendations, plot configuration, and the best pets for passive farming, see our AFK farming guide. During event windows, the AFK farming strategy delivers 3–5× the sheckle output of standard non-event farming.
Event Exclusive Content Guide
Event-exclusive content in Grow a Garden covers three categories: exclusive crops and seeds, exclusive pets and eggs, and special mutations triggered by event weather. All three categories share one defining characteristic — they are unavailable outside the active event window, which creates the scarcity that drives their sheckle premium.
Event-Only Crops & Seeds
The following crops are exclusively available during their respective event windows. Each event crop has a base value listed in the all crops value list. Event crops cannot be planted, purchased, or obtained outside the event window.
| Crop / Seed | Source Event | Window | Post-Event Trade Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bone Blossom | Blood Moon Event | Oct–Dec | Very High |
| Bone Crops (variants) | Blood Moon Event | Oct–Dec | High |
| Fairy Wisteria | Fairy Event | Rotating | High |
| Beanstalk Seed | Beanstalk Event | Rotating | High |
| Beanstalk Plants | Beanstalk Event | Rotating | Medium–High |
| Honeysuckle variants | Honey Event | Rotating | Medium |
| Zen Plants & Fruits | Zen Update | Named update | High |
| Summer Crops | Summer Event | Jun–Aug | Medium–High |
| Venus Flytrap variants | Venus Flytrap Event | Recurring | High |
| Sunflower variants | Sunflower Event | Recurring | Medium |
Event Pets & Special Hatches
Several events introduce exclusive pets obtainable only during the event window. The Blood Moon event features the Mooncat pet — a top-tier event pet with unique farming bonuses. The Zen Update introduced the Zen Pet (obtained from the Zen Egg). The Summer event introduces the Summer Rare Egg and the Legendary Summer Egg, both of which produce exclusive high-rarity pets. Event pets cannot be obtained after the event ends, making them permanent trading collectibles.
