How Growth Time Affects Hourly Income

Growth time is one of the most critical variables in profit maximization. Two crops with identical base values but different growth times will generate vastly different profit per hour — because more harvests means more income in the same time window.

A mushroom grows in 5 hours and earns 360 Sheckles profit per harvest. That equals 72 Sheckles per hour. A rose grows in 15 hours but earns 1,200 Sheckles profit per harvest. That equals 80 Sheckles per hour. Although the rose earns more per harvest, the mushroom harvests 3× as often, making it a better choice for hourly income. Return on Investment (ROI) percentage shows how much profit you earn relative to your seed cost. A crop with an ROI of 500% means you earn 5 times your seed cost back as profit. Higher ROI crops are better investments, especially when your Sheckle budget is limited.

A crop costing 10 Sheckles to plant but harvesting for 60 Sheckles delivers 50 Sheckles profit and a 500% ROI. Plot Allocation for Maximum Income

Multi-plot farming multiplies your profit per hour. If a single plot of Corn earns 50 Sheckles per hour, 10 plots earn 500 Sheckles per hour. The profit calculator supports up to 50 plots, letting you model your entire farm layout.

Event Bonus Profit Multipliers

Pro tip: Save your highest-base-value crops (Golden Goose, Truffle, Saffron) for event windows. A Golden Goose earning 15,000 Sheckles per hour normally becomes 22,500 Sheckles per hour during a 1.5x event. That's an extra 7,500 Sheckles per hour of farming income.
