Aurora Mutation Grow a Garden: 90x Multiplier Guide [2026]

By Morgan Blake ยท Mutations Expert ยท Updated

The Aurora mutation in Grow a Garden multiplies a fruit's sell value by 90. It comes only from the Aurora Borealis weather event, which applies it at random to crops that are growing. You cannot apply it with a spray, gear or a pet. Aurora also fuses with Celestial to make Cosmic.

What Is the Aurora Mutation in Grow a Garden

Aurora is a weather mutation in Grow a Garden, the Roblox farming game. It raises the sell value of a fruit by 90 times. You cannot buy it or spray it on. It appears only while the Aurora Borealis weather event is running, and it was added on June 28, 2025.

This page covers the original Grow a Garden. Grow a Garden 2 is a separate game with its own Aurora event, so do not carry the number over. Every other mutation is listed on the Mutations hub.

Facts that several sources agree on are marked as confirmed. Facts that sources dispute or leave out, such as rarity, tier and the Cosmic multiplier, are marked โš ๏ธ PENDING and carry no number outside the per-source tables.

Aurora Mutation Multiplier: What the Sources Say

Seven outside sources and our own Astral guide give Aurora as 90ร—. One Sportskeeda page lists a decimal value instead, so the exact figure is โš ๏ธ PENDING until it is checked in game. The older entry in the GAGdata mutation database says 8ร—, and no outside source backs it. The table shows every source.

How to Get the Aurora Mutation

Only the Aurora Borealis weather event applies the Aurora mutation. It picks growing crops at random and lasts a few minutes. No spray, gear item or pet can apply it for you.

Aurora Borealis Steps

  1. Plant and grow crops. Only crops that are growing in your garden can receive Aurora. Keep your best fruit planted.
  2. Wait for the Aurora Borealis event. The weather event is random and has no timer or warning. Guides call it rarer than rain and snow.
  3. Stay in the server. The event lasts a few minutes. Aurora is applied to crops while it runs. You cannot trigger it with a spray, gear or a pet.
  4. Check your fruit. Sportskeeda says an Aurora fruit shows a blue and purple tint and gives off smoke. Harvest it before you sell.

Aurora is a crop mutation. Pets have their own mutations, covered in the pet mutations guide.

Aurora and Cosmic: The Celestial Fusion

A crop that holds both Aurora and the Celestial mutation fuses into Cosmic. Sportskeeda says both originals are removed when this happens. The Astral mutation guide follows the chain further.

Sources disagree on the Cosmic multiplier, so it is โš ๏ธ PENDING here.

Aurora Mutation Stacking Guide

Aurora stacks with other mutations the way any weather mutation does. The in-game formula comes from the mutation stacking guide: Total = Base ร— Variant ร— [1 + sum of mutations โˆ’ N], where N is the number of mutations in the sum. The community shorthand multiplies every mutation instead.

Aurora stacking rows, computed from the site rules and 90ร—
StackIn-game formShorthand
Aurora (90ร—) alone90ร— base90ร— base
Rainbow (50ร—) + Aurora4,500ร— base4,500ร— base
Gold (20ร—) + Aurora1,800ร— base1,800ร— base
Rainbow + Aurora + Shocked (100ร—)9,450ร— base450,000ร— base

The two forms match until a stack has more than one mutation in the sum. Then the gap grows fast, as the Shocked row shows. Run your own fruit through the mutation calculator.

Best Crops for the Aurora Mutation

No crop is confirmed as the best match for Aurora. The event picks growing crops at random, so keep your highest value fruit planted when it starts, because the multiplier applies to the base. Best crop pairing: โš ๏ธ PENDING.

Aurora vs Other Mutations

These figures come from our mutation database. Aurora at 90ร— sits between Rainbow and Celestial. Rarity and tier are held back until they are confirmed. See the mutation tier list for the full ranking.

Aurora Mutation FAQ

The Aurora mutation multiplier in Grow a Garden is 90x the base sell value of a fruit. PCGamesN, Theria Games, Gamer Tweak, GameGeekFusion and a Sportskeeda guide all list 90x. One Sportskeeda page shows a decimal value, so GAGdata flags the exact figure for an in-game check.

Aurora comes only from the Aurora Borealis weather event. Keep crops growing in your garden while the event runs, and the game applies Aurora to some of them at random. You cannot trigger it with a spray, gear or a pet. Guides say the event lasts a few minutes.

The Aurora Borealis is a rarer weather event than rain or snow. Gamer Tweak says it is likely similar in rarity to a meteor shower. No source gives an exact chance or schedule, so GAGdata shows the frequency as pending. The event itself lasts a few minutes.

Aurora cannot be applied with a spray, gear or a pet. Sportskeeda says the mutation only comes from the weather event, and Theria Games says you cannot trigger it manually. Your crops must be growing in the garden when the Aurora Borealis event runs.

Cosmic forms when a crop holds both Aurora and Celestial. Sportskeeda says the two combine into Cosmic and are removed. Sources disagree on the Cosmic multiplier, so GAGdata does not state one on this page. Our Astral guide covers the longer chain that follows.

Aurora stacks like any weather mutation. The in-game form is Base times Variant times 1 plus the mutation sum minus N, from the GAGdata stacking guide. This page works out Aurora with Rainbow, Gold and Shocked. You can run your own fruit through the mutation calculator.

Aurora is a strong mutation at 90x. Sportskeeda ranks it third among mutations that are not event-limited, behind Shocked and Celestial. You cannot force it, so the cost is keeping your best crops planted when the weather rolls in, and waiting for the event.

No. Grow a Garden 2 is a separate Roblox game with its own Aurora event and its own rules. This page covers the original Grow a Garden only. Do not apply the 90x figure to Grow a Garden 2, and check that game's own guide for its value.
